Quinson, in the Verdon, culture and water sports
Quinson is a very old village, on the edge of the Verdon at the level of the Bass Gorges. Its cliffs give it a very wild aspect even if this place is very well equipped to welcome the visitors in search of adventures, freshness and nautical leisure activities. Many activities are available to visitors, from hiking and climbing to water activities such as electric boats, paddle boats and canoe kayaks.
Where is Quinson?
Small village of just over 400 inhabitants, located in the Alpes de Haute Provence, between Moustiers Ste Marie, Manosque and Draguignan in the Var. It is surrounded by other charming villages of Bas Verdon: Saint Laurent du Verdon, Montmeyan or Esparron de Verdon or Régusse.
Quinson and its museum of prehistory
Quinson also offers an interesting museum of prehistory that tells the very old habitat of this privileged region. The prehistoric site offers a narrative of the habitats that have followed each other for more than 400,000 years, culminating in the Baume Bonne cave.
All periods of prehistory are represented: making it a site of rare historical wealth. Caves are also visible along the water during your walk in the Gorges du Verdon.
Verdon Regional Nature Park
