The Verdon, the breathtaking set of a 3D-film

The Verdon is the scenery of a 3D-film, which has been running in French cinemas since late march : Secret Verdon. Produced by Jean-Marc Paris and directed François Bertrand, this wonderful movie offers magnificient landscapes of the Europe’s largest canyon.

The Verdon Canyon History

Secret Verdon tells us the meeting of two characters who will live an amazing adventure. The movie’s story takes place from 1905, when the caving’s father, Alfred Martel, performed the first down-river in canoë-kayak. In present time, Hidalgo, a young and shy carpenter makes a perfect copy of Martel’s canaoë for his own experience. Then he met Clara, a young and dynamic girl whom he tries to pass on his passion.
