Verdon: a holiday under the sign of water

The Verdon is a place where water dominates the landscape. Although the gorge once attracted people as a place to live, they are now a center of sporting and nautical activities thanks to a very favorable configuration: small and large spaces that allow everyone to have fun as well pedalo only rafting. The Mediterranean climate and turquoise waters are a delight for holidaymakers from May to the end of October.

Lake St. Croix

Lake St. Croix is the largest lake of the Verdon Gorge (10 x 3km). He was born in the 1970s from the creation of the Sainte-Croix dam. Thanks to the prohibition of motor boats (except electric), its waters remain clean and very pleasant for swimming. Highly frequented in summer, Lake Sainte Croix is even more appreciated at mid-season and outside school holidays thanks to the mild Mediterranean climate. The lake of Sainte Croix concentrates a large number of nautical activities like the pedalo, the canoe, etc. for the little ones as for the big ones.

The walls of the lake are steeper than that of St. Croix and therefore offer excellent climbing routes.
